“Honouring Immigrants”

The Welcome Wall is actually part of the Maritime Museum but deserves to be a tourist attraction in its own right. It stands separate from the Museum, in the open air on Darling Harbour. It's free of charge, unlike the Museum and is a record of the...more

It's a nice tribute that is the first thing you see as you get off the ferry at Pyrmont Bay in Darling Harbour just beside the Maritime Museum. It's a worthy point of interest while in the area.

Fascinating read of the comments and seeing some familiar names. This shows how Australia was / is put together. People coming from all over the world for lots of reasons. Most with hope for the better.

The Welcome Wall is a great reminder of what makes this country the great place it is. The fact that we welcomed people from all over the world is documented with the names and arrival dates. This is a worthwhile place to visit.

This is a huge wall with names on it of people who have arrived in Australia. If you arrived, mor your family arrived, and your name is on here, or the names of your family, then I guess this is a 5 star review as its...More
