I booked a "Spa Deluxe Package" at the Shangri-La as a birthday treat for my sister. I managed to purchase the package for 2 at a discounted price of $357 (full price $608) via Groupon. I'll begin with the positives: - The booking was super easy and can made online which I love as this saves the hassle of making... More

Great massages for a pre wedding celebration with friends. Decent prices compared to similar in the same area. Lovely staff. Tea and chocolates afterwards were great!

My friend and I had amazing hot stone massages at Chi The Spa. The service was sensational and our massages were absolute bliss! I can highly recommend.

My partner booked me in to the Chi Spa for the Jetlag Recovery package as a surprise following our arrival into Sydney, after catching the red eye from Perth. It is on the pricey side but well worth it. My partner said I looked so fresh it was like i had been sleeping for 5 years. It was so rejuvenating... More

Soothing and calming atmosphere, staff very professional & friendly. You feel relaxed the minute you walk in. My hubby and I had a 30 min couple massage, expensive but worth it however I don't think it was 30 mins, I think the whole process of us going in, getting ready etc was included in the time frame not 30 mins... I booked a Wattleseed Reawakening Treatment -- a 30 minute scrub followed by one-hour massage -- and also the Stop & Relax Facial. These treatments were superb and just what I needed after a week of going hard at the gym and a long day flying up from Melbourne for a work conference. What I love about Chi Spa (the... More

It must be said at the beginning of this review that I only came in for a facial so cannot comment on the other spa facilities like the pool, gym or any other space at the spa. The hotel as such is a little tired looking and not in keeping with the luxury 5 star opulence usually a given at... More

Don't be taken in by the 5 star rating. Whilst massage was ok, the surroundings in the pool area were not calm and relaxing. Ceiling was broken, men exercising were looking into pool as the gym is only separated by a full glass wall and whole area seemed neglected. Strip lights were flickering and jets in whirlpool looked brown. Would... More

Staying in The Rocks

Neighbourhood Profile
The Rocks
The first residents of the Rocks were convicts and sailors from the old nation. As the oldest neighbourhood in the city, the area's cobblestone streets host more than 100 heritage sites and buildings, including the oldest house in Sydney, Camden Cottage, which was built in 1816. Taste a “midi “ or a “schooner” of beer and dine “al fresco” on the waterfront at some of the oldest pubs in Sydney. The weekend markets at the Rocks are where you can find local artists' hand-made souvenirs, organic food and designer jewelry in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. To enjoy some of the best Australian and international contemporary art, the MCA museum is open every day and select evenings. At the end of a long day of sightseeing, be sure to save energy to dance the night away at the area's many late night entertainment venues.
