This is a busy street, now turned into one big construction site. The surrounding buildings (especially the QVB) look nice and the place would look lovely when the construction is completed.

It's so bad but hard to see when it will finish. It's an absolute travesty when you see the chaos caused to the city and the small businesses being destroyed with little benefits to anyone. It's a long street that traverses so much of the...More

Been here at the launch of the iPhone in NSW. A busy street filled with pedestrians. I had to stand 45 minutes long to queue from outside the Apple Store on George Street.

The construction works are not finished yet Oct 1st. The main street in Sydney is lined with shops, bars, restaurants and take aways. Very busy street.

A main artery that changes as it traverses the city from the Rocks to Broadway. Unfortunately, it is still a construction zone which makes it difficult to appreciate the buildings and activities that surround it.

We went a lot to George Street, as we had to take the train or bus near the Town Hall. I noticed that mostly buildings were the norm. They were quite attractive, with different angles or anything that made these buildings attractive! The only problem...More

Without doubt Sydney's main street. Starting from Broadway at the southern end to circular quay at the north end. George Street will have something for everyone. Pubs, bars, cafe's, restaurants, movie theatres, just about every fashion and specialist store. Town Hall, QVB, World Square, just...More
