From all the hype expected a very trendy hipster place with lots of good coffee shops. Sadly just found a street (King Street) with relatively narrow footpaths (so hard to get through the masses) and fairly ordinary shops with few cafes. Managed to fall into...More

King street has many restaurants and is a great shopping strip as well. You can get to Newtown by train or bus. I found the train the easiest as it is quick and you leave the station directly onto King street. Turn right at the...More

Newtown is a pretty cool little suburb that I had the fortune of staying in during my time in Sydney. My favorite part was the amount of delicious vegetarian friendly restaurants in the area. If you like vege food then you really will be spoiled...More

Fortune of War, 137 George St Sydney appears to be the oldest bar in Sydney. The hotel ... since 1828. The bar's interior design looks fantastic. Worth visiting.
