Get down to the rockpool at the northen end and enjoy the calm of a semi-natural rock pool, crabs and all. The main beach is brilliant for surfing / body surfing. The surrounding grass area is always busy with people enjoying the sun and a...More

Coogee Beach is an Eastern Suburbs beach in Sydney. The location is ok but nothing special. No comparison to Manly Beach. The beach is not particularly large, can be dangerous to swim in and suffers from chronic parking issues. The surrounding shops and hotels offer...More

A small beautiful very protected protected beach ideal for tanning swimming. Has two rock pools, 3 beach volleyball courts and good facilities, many cafes and restaurants. Good place to go if you want to avoid the hordes at Bondi.

We did this as a part of our Bondi Coogee Walk. The beach offers amazing views. The walk can be slightly tiring on a sunny day.

we ended up here after our walk from bondi to coogee and found coogee to be very touristy. lots of foreigners. Not a local feel at all like bondi. It's all about the Coogee Pavillion. that place is amazing.

A smaller, less populated version on Bondi. A nice beach with great surrounding facilities. The park in front if it is a great place for people of all ages with some nice bars nearby

We went to coogee on a very sunny day. The waves were very choppy which I know couldn't be controlled however they were so strong people were being dragged along the seabed so you just need to be careful. there are no rock pools to...More

Very accessible by public transport, Coogee is the
smaller, friendlier, more intimate version of Bondi
Beach. Coogee is the only beach in the Eastern suburbs
that does not have big waves, making it an excellent
family beach. The Coogee Bay Hotel, located right
across the beach, has one of the biggest beer gardens
in Australia and plenty of entertainment every night
of the week. Be on the lookout for celebrity

It's like the Oyster card in London, a card that you can top up with money and use on the public transport. Can be topped up at newsagents and stations.
