Life guards take their job very seriously, which must reassure any swimmers or surfers. Impressive onshore facilities, showers, changing rooms etc. Parking can be a problem at the weekends, but I suggest taking a bus, frequent and stop at the beach.

Coogee is yet another popular beach and was frequented by locals and visitors.
We were told that Coogee is considered a very safe beach which no doubt accounted for the number of families present.
It also appeared to be another good locality for surfers.
This was a pleasant large beach and better than Bondi with extensive white sand and what appeared to be good surf. The area along the beach seemed better than some others with few tacky restaurants and tourist shops.
First time at this beach and its a beautiful looking beach for a swim but thats all its good for. Could not believe the amount of outdoor gym companys utalising this beach very pathetic the council allows this. All of the groups have no consideration...More

Its a card you can purchase which allows you travel by bus , train or ferry throughout Sydney . You can purchase the card in most newsagents , train / bus stations and you can top it up in these locations or online if you'd prefer. If you use the card frequently ( I think its 8 trips / week ) the trips cost 50% thereafter.
