Simply beautiful. We thoroughly enjoyed spending a few hours in this wonderfully established, set out and maintained resource in the heart of the city. Native species, supported by informative display and labelling, local birdlife coupled with outstanding vistas across the city and the harbour in particular. These Royal Botanical Gardens as good as it gets and provide those rich in... More

Went for a walk here before a cruise out of Sydney. To be honest it is good for a walk, picnic or relaxing stroll with friends but there is nothing really in the form of tourist attractions here. It is just a good place to relax.

Well worth taking a walk around here and seeing all the nature that surrounds you. There is a cafe should you be too hot and needing a quick drink or bite to eat while there.

We enjoyed several strolls around the Botanical Gardens during our stay in Sydney. There is a nice restaurant and cafeteria here and a good gift shop. Well worth a visit.

The Sydney botanical gardens walk starts from next to the opera house and we spend about 2.5 hours exploring the bird life and plant life. Well worth a visit.

The gardens are well kept and the amount of forna is amazing. Was such a beautiful walk through the gardens around to the opera house. Would love to do it again when it's not quite as hot.

My wife and I walked through the Sydney Botanical Gardens are were absolutely amazed at the beauty of the Gardens. There are so many areas with so many beautiful plants and tress that represent so many different environments. Really a great place to go spend a nice walk. As a bonus - there is no charge!!

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
