The Botanical Gardens are beautiful and not to be missed. There is a nice cafe in the gardens and you need at least half a day to walk around, see all the beautiful plants and sculptures.

If you happen to have a few hours to yourself I strongly suggest visiting the gardens. It’s so peaceful and you may get a few surprises along the way.

I walked through the Botanical Gardens while going from the Art Gallery of NSW to the Contempary Art Museum. It is a very pleasant walk with lots of park benches so that you can take some time and enjoy the views. There are friendly volunteers...More

Did this as part of a city tour our guide walked us around explaining the history and plants etc, then a look at Mrs Macquaries chair, the garden edges the harbour so good for photos
