Nice spacious area to stroll, with a bit of history attached. Nicely spaced out trees, from all corners of the globe, well spaced out, and mostly having their own water supply, or was it fire hydrant. Pleasant and relaxing area.

Botanic gardens are wonderful and adjacent to Lady Macquaries Chair which in the evening provides a fabulous view of the harbour bridge and opera house. Also a good look at Pinchgut( Fort Denison)

The Royal Botanic Gardens are in walking distance from the Rocks and Darling Harbour and very close to the Opera House. Very well kept with beautiful flowers and shrubs. The views from here are wonderful and Mrs Macquarie’s chair sits facing the water.

We were lucky enough to do the free tour of the gardens with Jim Nicol, Volunteer Guide. He was outstanding, very knowledgeable about the history of the Gardens, all its plant families, the plant hunters who’d discovered them and indeed anything else botanical that people...More

Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with
energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise
buildings and after-work drink places, high-end
shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners
frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a
dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit
the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle,
reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens
