There is a tour that you can go on, you have to BE AT the market at 06:30 in order to go. This is the ONLY way to see the fish auction, which I hear is the real highlight. I didn't manage to get up...More

The Sydney Fish Market is well worth the Trip. I am not a sushi fan, but my wife is so we decided to take a walk over to the fish market. It is impressive the amount of fresh seafood they have there, and any fresh...More

Huge place with a nice selection of seafood and restaurants! Place was quite dirty and very crowded. You’d have to defend your food from the birds all the time. It wasn’t a very enjoyable experience.

It's now turn into another tourist spot only with less value. Seafood were still fresh and lots of varieties but not cheap. You can see mainly Chinese tourists and crowded over lunch hours. Cooked food is terrible and tasted badly. Disappointed

we took a walk to the place, very disappointed, small, commercialized, not much to see, did not enjoy the food either, and the price is higher than places we ate in the CBD. I would not go back or recommend a friend .

While I don’t doubt the raw seafood here is fresh, I would definitely recommend staying away from the cooked food. Unfortunately for us, Sydney Fish Market was by far the worst experience we’ve had in Sydney. Not worth the hype at all and it’s a...More

We opted for the Brunch tour which included a tour of the market, the auction hall and lunch consisting of seafood of our choice cooked at one of the restaurants in the market. Our guide, Alex, was very knowledgeable. He explained how the market works,...More

Try the Light Rail there is a stop right alongside the market. Otherwise a taxi from where you are would not be too expensive

I go the fish markets at around 8:30 am during the weekdays to avoid the lunch time rush and buy what I need to take home. For those wishing to have lunch, no later than about 11:00 am would be a good time to look around to... More
