Lots of lifeguards, including those in the water. You can surf on the right or swim anywhere. Wonderful soft sand beach. There is a beach pavilion close by with facilities and snacks. A great beach to spend a few hours.

The famous beach has several things to do: surf, walk and run, many restaurants and cafes, and stores. A wide beach, even in summer is easy to find a place to stay in the sand. Could easily stay a hole day there just enjoying everything that it offers.

This one of the places that when you come to Australia you got to visit. It is basically on any "things to do" list. As soon as you get there you will enjoy the incredible view. Spent only one day here unfortunately, lovely beach with some great shops lining the front. Currently an outdoor cinema next to the beach with very good films showing.

We couldn't see the beach in all its glory since it poured rain while we were there. Usually it's packed with swimmers, beach goers, and surfers. The beach goers thinned out, but there were never less than about 20 surfers at any time. So even in the rain, be sure to stop by.

As soon as we got off the bus, we were mesmerized with the incredible view. Picture that I saw prior to my visit can't compare to what I actually saw. The beach was really beautiful, the waves were huge. The coastal walk that I didn't have much expectation was one of the best experiences I had.

We ventured out to Bondi Beach while visiting Sydney and spent a few hours marveling at the number of swimmers, surfers and sun worshipers that found this place to be just perfect for them. However not the optimum place to surf, many were trying to stay up on their surfboards, for just a few seconds. The sand is fine, white... More

Staying in Bondi Beach

Neighbourhood Profile
Bondi Beach
An iconic Australian suburb, Bondi Beach is famous for its fantastic beaches and views. Once the domain of backpackers, hundreds of tourists from all over the world descend en masse to Bondi in December ready to enjoy the "Aussie summer". Bondi Beach boasts impressive ocean views all along the many restaurants and bars on Campbell Parade. Wake up early and take a dip in the surf before walking the scenic stretch from Bondi to Coogee Beach. Stroll through the Saturday organic markets in North Bondi or grab some fish and chips and relax in the grassy area opposite the beach. For more upscale cuisine, head down to Hall Street where a range of new eateries have recently opened. Just make sure to save enough energy for the buzzing nightlife Bondi Beach has to offer.
