We stopped here by way of a recommendation from our Real Sydney Tour guide. The beach was incredibly beautiful and there were several places to have lunch - food was excellent

This is the popular beach in Sydney. Lots of people but the beach is very long and very deep. Waves were large the day we were there and life guards were keeping swimmers to no deeper than their knees. No bathrooms or changing area to be found. Lots of cafes and restaurant options just across the street with views. Public... More

If you are looking for a beachside to spend a day in Sydney, you need to be at Bondi beach. Full of locals and tourists, it is a beautiful and well maintained beach with host of activities like water sports and surfing etc. Excellent surroundings and a very lively place in Syndey to spend a day and/or evening. You will... More

Stopped by on a bus tour of Sydney with great expectations after all I'd read but found a beach just like I'd find in England, such as Newquay, Weymouth or Witterings!

This was the destination of our walk from Coogee Beach. After all the hype one hears about Bondi, it was something of a disappointment. Some of the beaches we saw on our way from Coogee were at least as attractive, and less crowded. However, there was nothing much wrong with it either.

A wonderful, very clean, expansive beach about 1.5 kms long set on a half moon bay. Lots of surfers to watch. So cozy and pleasant. I wished we had more time to enjoy it.

We took Uber to get there since the travelling time is almost double if you take a bus which is the only public transportation available. The day was sunny with breezes. The view was magnificent and breathtaking. So relaxing to walk along even without jumping into the water. Suggest to bring along your swimsuit just in case you have the... More

Bondi's crescent shape beach is simply stunning. Surf, swim or simply observe the waves its a great place. Take the opportunity to walk to the southern end and follow the coastal path to Tamarama Beach or Bronte Beach - its a great experience.

Bondi Beach is phenomenal! We had a great time walking the crest of the beach and watching the beautiful sunset! The shops are nice and quaint, the food is delectable and easy on your wallet! Watch out for the waves when you enter the ocean! They're ferocious, but fun! Plenty of life guards on duty though!

Staying in Bondi Beach

Neighbourhood Profile
Bondi Beach
An iconic Australian suburb, Bondi Beach is famous for its fantastic beaches and views. Once the domain of backpackers, hundreds of tourists from all over the world descend en masse to Bondi in December ready to enjoy the "Aussie summer". Bondi Beach boasts impressive ocean views all along the many restaurants and bars on Campbell Parade. Wake up early and take a dip in the surf before walking the scenic stretch from Bondi to Coogee Beach. Stroll through the Saturday organic markets in North Bondi or grab some fish and chips and relax in the grassy area opposite the beach. For more upscale cuisine, head down to Hall Street where a range of new eateries have recently opened. Just make sure to save enough energy for the buzzing nightlife Bondi Beach has to offer.
