Thoroughly enjoyed this beautiful beach. We took the “Hop on Hop off bus” from downtown Sydney to Bondi and that just added to the day. Beach is beautiful, clean, and filled with friendly people. We rented an umbrella and 2 chairs and settled in for...More

We visited on a weekday so no crowds. The sand is a soft powder. Surprised at how cold the water was. Fun to watch children have their surfing lessons. Beautiful

A beautiful urban beach setting. The sand on this beach is just fabulous. Like fine ground sugar/salt. There are concessions aplenty and it is easy to spend time here

Bondi Beach is a must visit when you come to Sydney. Great place to go for a walk and have a beautiful breakfast while watching the surf. Take the coastal walk past the Icebergers.

Although this is a lovely beach, close to Sydney, with sandy beaches and excellent surfing, it gets very crowded, as it is not that big, and it is very popular. The surfing is amazing, and it is a lovely place to visit, however if you...More

I don't know when the calmest conditions are but my girls swam in mid June (which is their winter) and they didn't think it was cold.
