I walked this route on my own filling in time before my conference. You can walk it from either end but I did it from Spit Bridge as ending with a ferry from Manly seemed a better way to finish. I got the bus 180...More

A very rewarding 10km walk which offers great views from the northern side of the spit. Parts are quite flat however it is challenging on some of the uphill sections. A nice thing to do on a sunny winters day - probably not so good...More

I live in the area and am biased but the scenery is stunning and the walk excellent. the ground can be uneven at times but still easy. Takes about 3-4 hours. If you enjoy walking then this is a must.

I did the reverse walk and took a bus to Spit Bridge and then walked the 10k to Manly Beach. The scenery was breathtaking and the walk fairly easy going. There are stairs along the way and for the most part a marked trail. There...More

We went on a weekday in the winter and it was still busy but it is a splendid walk. We walked through the Cabbage Tree Bay Reserve and up to the Shelly Head overlook. Easy walk and wonderful views.

We loved Manly Island. It is a fun promenade with shops and then a great beach where you can surf, paddle board or play soccer in the sand. There is a great walk around the shore and you can end it with ice cream at...More

This walk approx. 1.5 hours takes you along the foreshore amid natural parklands. A relatively easy walk for all ages. Some unevenness that might be more difficult for the elderly, but doable... the best views of Sydney heads, down the harbour, watching the ferries crossing....More

This truly is a great walk! Catch a ferry to Manly and turn left ... Set aside half a day for the round trip, but don't believe the signs suggesting that the walk is 4-5 hours. If you're even moderately fit, it's more like 3...More

A 40-minute ferry ride from Circular Quay will take
you to the famous northern beach of Manly. The beaches
here are perfect for learning to surf or spending the
day sun-tanning. The walk from Spit Bridge to Manly is
a great way to experience Sydney Harbour Bay and the
Australian bush land. Along the foreshore, there are
plenty of watering holes and wine bars with excellent
cuisine. There are plenty of kid-friendly restaurants
