Took the ferry to Manly, picked up a picnic at the supermarket and took the walk to the spit. Nice views along the route. In places not quite clear where the path goes especially at the Manly end near the houses. A bit tricky finding...More

Very beautiful walk with a lot of shops to poke around in. Easy distance from the ferry and many eateries.

We went for a half day and it was excellent to walk and take a good lunch. Many restaurants on the SEA street.

at one end of Manly beach, this was a steep path, ( difficult in some parts so not for the less mobile), but fantastic views from various points, so worth the climb

A great walk to a great beach. We caught the water taxi there and walk for a while. Had a coffee and a sit on the beach. A very lovely beach week worth visiting.

A slow winding walk along the coast line leads you to a secluded beach and a fabulous dining location. A very slow and lay back dreamy location. Do not skip this one.

I jumped off the bus at Spit Bridge and walked through the underpass under the bridge. After that, this became a very enjoyable walk with some really nice views. Almost immediately you pass through the end of a sheltered cove into a fern rich overhang...More

A 40-minute ferry ride from Circular Quay will take
you to the famous northern beach of Manly. The beaches
here are perfect for learning to surf or spending the
day sun-tanning. The walk from Spit Bridge to Manly is
a great way to experience Sydney Harbour Bay and the
Australian bush land. Along the foreshore, there are
plenty of watering holes and wine bars with excellent
cuisine. There are plenty of kid-friendly restaurants

August is a lovely time of the year for walking because it is not too hot. You can wear a jacket or jumper to start off but you will probably find that you take the jumper off once you have walked and warmed up. If it is a... More
