An Aussie Icon , for every visitor. This building was noot well accepted when first built , but now it is a national Icon , just like Sydney Harbour Bridge , Ayers Rock , Kangaroos , and Murray Cod ... A must for every traveler

Sydney Opera House is an amazing site - When VIVID is happening the pictures are unbelievable! It does get cold walking around at night during VIVID, however there are so many people it does help you warm up!

The architecture of the Opera House, inside and outside is spectacular, well worth a visit, cruising around the harbour for the Vivid Lights.

I love the Opera house, its amazing, unforgettable life experience. I was lucky to see the building during the VIVID celebrations and no amount of bathing it in bright lights and images could detract from its fundamental beauty.

What can you say about the Sydney Opera House. One of the country's (if not the world's) most iconic edifices. A World Heritage Listed building, the SOH was opened by Queen Elizabeth II in 1973 after 14 years of construction (supposed to have taken 4...More

I've had the privilege of singing in the opera house multiple times (large choir) as well as being a member of the audience for opera/ballet/chamber/solo music (there's several performance halls and the concert hall is the most grand). It NEVER ceases to amaze me how...More

The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with
energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise
buildings and after-work drink places, high-end
shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners
frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a
dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit
the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle,
reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens

The only free parking is around the residential areas, which is a bit of a walk away from the Opera House and then it is hard to get a spot. If you have no problem walking, get the train to Circular Quay station, it is a 5... More

I did the 1 hour guided tour. For someone like me who didn't research much on sydney opera house, it was an informative session. You'll also get to enter some of the halls. I felt that it was a good experience.
