A spectacular venue to view performances. There are multiple rooms so I recommend the Concert Hall or Joan Sutherland rooms (other rooms are smaller and not as grand as these two spaces.). We saw a traditional Puccini opera that was wonderful with great acoustics, sets...More

This is perhaps the most iconic architecture in Australia. From here you can also see the tourist attraction of Sydney harbour bridge and Royal botanic garden. I watched the opera of La Boheme at the Sydney Opera House. The interior decoration and the beverage are...More

An excellent introductory tour of the opera house by SUE....our guide. This was front of house, in the opera house and concert halls, the theatres, behind the scenes, the construction and design stories. All amazing delivered with a great sense of humour. Heartily recommended!👍😁

Jorn Utzon was brilliant and shunned architect whose ideas were discarded until Saarinen revived the drawings from the trash heap. It is an incredible masterpiece., You have less than 2 years to see it before the Opera House is shut down for several years of...More

Dear joukojr, The story of the Sydney Opera House is as interesting as it is bittersweet. Before Jorn Utzon's designs were settled on, the finalist's plans would have the Sydney Opera House looking very different from what it does today. Saarinen, a Finnish-American architect, was...More

A delightful building with plenty of refreshment opportunities. It does suffer the usual overcrowded feeling of a major attraction. Well worth going to have a look.More

The Sydney Opera House is a must visit while in Sydney. Didn't get enough time to attend a show, but the architecture in itself was worth a view

We came here to see Turandot which was incredible. Firstly from the outside the opera house literally gleams in the sunshine, it is made up of thousands of small tiles which I did not realise until we got up close. The surrounding areas are very...More
