Well, everyone knows what it looks like, and it's even better up close. Walk round the quay and it's breathtaking. We had dinner in one of the restaurants - service was slow and not terribly efficient, but the food was good and prices were about...More

I enjoyed a one-hour tour (which I booked online without difficulty, printing the ticket at my hotel), which gave some insight into the history and construction of this iconic building. Our guide was knowledgeable and personable and did a nice job. It was disappointing -...More

Unique architecture. Easy to get to, right in the city, close public transport. Great venue for ballet, opera etc. Amazing view of the Harbour Bridge from the many nice restaurants close by.

Took my two grandchildren 8 & 10. They were enthralled with the opera house interior and the tour guide explained everything in plain language so they could understand. I had been before but it was great to see the place through the eyes of children

The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with
energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise
buildings and after-work drink places, high-end
shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners
frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a
dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit
the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle,
reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens
