Purchased a scoop on for a 1.5 hour lunch and cruise around the harbour. While the sites where of course lovely, the food was absolutely terrible. Buffet lunch was a really strange mix of food 90% of which my group did not enjoy. Bread, no butter. Only meat offered was chicken thighs that looked disgusting, I tried a small piece... More

Bought tickets at the pier in Darling Harbour last night as our cruise company for Vivid (Sydney Glass Island) failed to appear. We were assured we were getting a great deal, even discounted because we had been let down by the other company and that we would have a fabulous night with music, a wonderful buffet meal prepared by the... We went on the Fusion Lunch cruise in March and found the selection of food great. There was a large Korean tour group on board and the ship was full with a buzz. There was a selection of Noodles, Chicken, Mini Spring Rolls,Salad, Fish and bread. The only strange thing was there was no butter for the bread roll slices.... More

Had a lovely cruise on a Scoopon voucher. It was the staff that made this trip special for us as they made sure we were treated very well and even held back the horde of 100+ Chinese tourists from the food buffet until my wife and I had selected our food. The staff even reserved us cake when we came... More

Went on the lunchtime cruise last week. The food was putrid, I think the food in jail must be better ! We was put on a table in a corner with the water urn behind us and Asian people coming over and filling their flasks every five minutes ! The food consisted of noodles, something that resembled some sort of chicken... More

We went as a couple for a buffet lunch cruise. It was interesting and lunch was filling.Highly recommend to do once in a lifetime. See the Harbour and all its glory.See the harbour Bridge up close and Opera House. Its last about 80 mins but it was good. We will be interested in other cruises.

The cruise has 2 decks where you are allocated seating. We had a big group so we took up the majority of the top deck. The food was a selection of chick or fish with a variety of salads. It was nice and simple food (not restaurant quality) and as they cater to the masses don't expect individualized catering. But... More

We purchased this lunch cruise as a offered deal, and were completely satisfied with what we received. Everything that was promised as part of the deal was delivered by very attentive and courteous staff. Our trip consisted of a mainly asian tour group. The buffet was allocated by table where we were advised of when it was our turn. As... More

Staying in Darling Harbour

Neighbourhood Profile
Darling Harbour
The original docklands of Darling Harbour have been transformed into a tourist mecca with entertainment for the whole family. Cockle Bay Wharf offers dining options from budget to upscale and million dollar views of the harbour. Young crowds gather on weekends for nightlife that ranges from salsa clubs to Dj’s. Families can visit the Chinese Gardens of Friendship or the Sydney Aquarium, one of the largest in the world. The Sydney Maritime Museum and the IMAX theatre are also popular attractions. The Harbourside Shopping Centre is a site unto itself, with hundreds of shops, restaurants and bars. On Saturdays in the summer, the city puts on a spectacular fireworks show along the harbour's shore and there are plenty of other free events during the year - Darling Harbour Fiesta, VIVID’s light installations and the Sydney Festival, just to name a few.
