A must do when in Sydney! Such a beautiful building with a lot of history. The arcade is full of many boutique shops as well as quirky coffee shops, that are worth to go to.

For those who are familiar with the Burlington Arcade off Piccadilly in London, The Strand Sydney, could be a clone! Some very chic boutique shops can be found here along with some nice eateries and a couple of specialist chocolate shops that could add a...More

While visiting other cities, I always try to strike a balance between old and new, fast-pace and relax, shopping and attractions, modern and vintage, etc. The Strand Arcade takes one back several decades and it's a delight to notice things that today's designers do not include...More

In the midst of the large shopping centres and department stores, this beautifully quaint arcades is full of shops and cafés that are worth a look. I particularly like the shoe maker and tailor on the upper floor where you can look through the window...More

The Strand Arcade has shops, cafes and restaurants. The decoration is the old Victorian style with the glass roof. If you are a tourist and you run out of time, then go to the Queen Victoria Building instead.

I couldn't tell you what shops are in here but I loved it! The decoration, the fittings and finishes are amazing. I even took photos of the lifts (I've posted one). This arcade is delightful and deserves at least a walk though.

The Strand Arcade is fun to explore. Small shops line two levels under a large skylight. My favorite hat shop is there, the Strand Hatters, which has a great selection of Akruba hats. You'll find a nice variety of shops for clothing, cosmetics, jewelry, and...More

Strand Arcade is located in a nice old building in the CBD of Sydney and in truth, as far as attractions go it's not up there with the Opera House shall we say. It is however a nice enough old building and if you are...More

I have to say that I love this little historical arcade. There are so few really old buildings left in Sydney, and this is a little ge. I have to say, however that I would never waste my time even looking in the shops there,...More

Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with
energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise
buildings and after-work drink places, high-end
shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners
frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a
dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit
the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle,
reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens
