The Strand Arcade is a small arcade between George and Pitt with several boutique vendors and shops. They have nice little coffee/tea rooms and of course a Haigh's chocolate, which is the best there is. Premium leather goods, clothes, shoes, jewellery, health and beauty products,...More

One of Australia's better arcades, so much to see and do. Easy just to enjoy the history and grandeur of the building but there are so many shops and cafes to enjoy plus one of Sydney's best Italian restaurants (Pendolino's).

The shops were cool but the architecture was great. This is a must see if you like architecture. There are a lot of shops and places to eat. Was crowed when I visited. It is a cool place in the CBD that you can add...More

We were spending our last day in Sydney out shopping and came across the Strand Arcade. Lots of shops in a lovely old Victorian style building, not the high end designers boutiques like QVB, but more affordable stores. Quite busy on a Monday afternoon with...More

This is a beautiful shopping arcade, and less ostentatious than the Queen Victoria Building. There are a lot of shops to check out, and we spent some time at The Strand, as my husband had his hair cut here twice, and I had a fantastic...More

While this 1890's shopping arcade is very interesting, it is not as grand or as large as the nearby Queen Victoria building. You can see both in one afternoon.

Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with
energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise
buildings and after-work drink places, high-end
shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners
frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a
dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit
the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle,
reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens
