Neighbourhood: Darling Harbour
The original docklands of Darling Harbour have been transformed into a tourist mecca with entertainment for the whole family. Cockle Bay Wharf offers dining options from budget to upscale and million dollar views of the harbour. Young crowds gather on weekends for nightlife that ranges from salsa clubs to Dj’s. Families can visit the Chinese Gardens of Friendship or the Sydney Aquarium, one of the largest in the world. The Sydney Maritime Museum and the IMAX theatre are also popular attractions. The Harbourside Shopping Centre is a site unto itself, with hundreds of shops, restaurants and bars. On Saturdays in the summer, the city puts on a spectacular fireworks show along the harbour's shore and there are plenty of other free events during the year - Darling Harbour Fiesta, VIVID’s light installations and the Sydney Festival, just to name a few.

Lovely area featuring featuring various restaurants and bars with great views of the waterfront. Enjoyed our meals in the restaurants visited as we people watched and viewed the various activities on the water. It also serves as a terminal for the ferries and Captain Cook hop-on-hop-off harbour cruise. An area with a great vibe.

We drove past this nice area and couldn't get enough. There are many cafes and restaurants and other shops. There are some lovely views to be had from here and the water is just beautiful. Just across from Darling Harbour. Practically in the middle of the city!

Located on the eastern side of Darling Harbour, King Street Wharf is a small site and the end of a street by the same name. There are mooring spots for a number of ships, predominantly as part of the event or cruise experience.

I liked admiring boats and here there were many attractive boats. Some were old, most of the boats were fast.
We had lots of space to walk.
On the other side, there were restaurants and pubs. Most of them were joyful.
We had a great time walking near the wharf.
This was really worthwhile!

This is a decent wharf, scattered with restaurants and pubs just next to the water.
You can also take the ferry from here.

We were catching a ferry transfer to our cruise parked at White Bay. We walked via Wynyard walk which is a very convenient new pedestrian walkway providing a connection from Wynyard Station. Nice ambiance on the waterfront and worth a stroll to take in the happenings on the water and off. Choice of restaurants, cafes.

Was able to spend time down on King Street Wharf tonight before and after our dinner cruise on the Capt Cook cruise line boat. This area is spotless, fun and wide open for lots of people. There literally are dozens of choices fir food and drink. Many different cruise boats to pick from too. You can take a taxi or Uber right to it as well. Don't drive unless you absolutely have to. Parking is expensive!!

We strolled several times along King Street Wharf which is adjacent to Cockle Bay Wharf and on the city side of Darling Harbour.
One can catch a ferry to Circular Quay and this is the jump off point for many of the harbour cruises.
We did a harbour cruise with Starship for an 18th birthday party which departed from King Street Wharf and we had an amazing night.
