The caves are breath taking! The self guided tour is easy and child friendly. The Wollondilly is at an intermediate fitness level with over 500 stairs down and up. It is worth it and suitable for ages 5 and up.

On a drive we headed from Penrith to Jenolan Caves and then to Wombeyan Caves. We enjoyed the dirt road sections of this drive. The Caves camping area was serene, there were hardly any people there. About 30 kangaroos and wallabies were lounging around the...More

About 45 minutes out of Goulburn, including a 15 min drive on a dirt road, a little corrugated in parts, but otherwise fair condition, will take you to the Wombeyan camping ground in the National Park. We took a camper trailer and got a powered...More

Arrived late on Easter Saturday struggling to find camping space. Ended up camping Willy Nilly with no dramas. Took the Sydney via Goulburn route (in lieu of 80km of windy dirt road from Mittagong). Camping facilities were good. The caves were great, NPWS rangers were...More

Interesting caves and a wonderful place to camp. We came in from the Goulburn side with our camper trailer as the road from Mittagong is much worse. About 15 kms of dirt. The camping area is full of old trees so plenty of shade, and...More

We were there last week and it was very dry. The best swimming spot at the moment is probably the Wollondilly River Nature Reserve.
