From the moment you take your first step into the walk at pigeon house mountain you're on a steep incline - so prepare for that burning sensation in the back of your legs for a few days. Don't let the short length fool you, this...More

This is a challenging walk, as it is uphill most of the way with just a short flat bit half way up. Plus pretty hard on the legs coming down! A mix of steps and slopes takes you up to the steel ladders and stairways...More

I've climbed Pidgeon House Mountain a few times and it has never disappointed me. Great views from the top and very peaceful. You need a reasonable level of fitness to complete this hike.

Neither the trek up nor the views once you reach the top should be under estimated. Pigeon House Mountain/ Didthul is not for the faint hearted, young or old. The majority of the walk up the mountain is only moderately strenuous (if relatively active) and...More

Despite how long it takes to get here (30mins from Milton on a dirt path) the walk is quite short. Taking just over an hour each way. The view is lovely and I would recommend taking a picnic up to the top. Although I would...More

I've done this climb multiple times and still love it! Once you're at the top the view is phenomenal! This start of the climb is the hardest part but I managed to climb whilst unfit. Please respect this beautiful area and take any rubbish with...More

The Morton Park Reserve carpark is easily reached from Milton (turn off the Princes Highway), and although the final approach road is not sealed, you don't really need a 4WD to get there. The climb, whilst fairly steep in places, is also reasonably easy -...More

The drive to the car park from the Princes Highway was approx 26 kms along a bumpy dirty road so it’s pretty slow going. The hike up took us an hour. We set off around 8am to try to get back before the heat of...More

What a great hike. The weather wasn’t the best (no view at the top just clouds), but it made it not so hot & sticky as it was a strenuous climb to the top. Took us an hour and a half up and an hour...More
