Take a delightful drive through the rolling hills near Byron Bay for some genuine local produce markets. No stalls filled with Cheap Asian products, but wood products and food styles galore. Make the drive and you will love the experience.

While it's considered in the Byron area, it took nearly an hour to drive there. It's closer to Nimbin than Byron. The market itself is very very alternative and while I usually don't mind that type of atmosphere, I wasn't impressed. The markets don't really...More

Haven't been to the Channon for about 20 years. Not quite the same full on 'hippy' market' it once was, but still a great market. Nothing stays the same forever I guess. Got some great things.

Went with my niece who loves this type of markets. It was interesting and crowded. It's a community market with over 200 stalls selling all kinds of crafts, foods and drinks and people singing and dancing. Face painting for the youngs and not so young!...More

This was our first trip to the Channon Markets and it was really good to see lots of genuine crafts rather than mass produced, inevitably made in china, rubbish that seems to be taking over so called markets these days. Lots of choice of food...More

We travelled from the Gold Coast after being recommended by a friend. Positives: some good stall holders and variety. Cane sugar drinks stall Wood worker and art stalls. Bouncy castle for kids cheap and wasn't time limited. Negatives: having to pay $2 to park in...More
