We ventured into the Border Ranges National Park after picking up a pamphlet at the Information Centre. What an amazing area. We came in from Barkers Vale and our first stop was Falcorostrum Loop. We just loved the stands of Antarctic Beech. Blackburn Lookout was...More

It is a great area to walk or even to drive on a rainy day. From the border loop to the Pinnacle lookout, the views on the old volcano in the Tweed Hinterland is amazing

We went to the Pinnacle lookout and sat admiring the view. We heard voices coming from below and learned there is an old track which actually goes to the end of the Pinnacle itself. Its a tough track and there are a couple of sheer...More

Very unlike the Eucalypt forests we are used to in Australia, Border Ranges has dense stands of various types of lush rainforest. There are short and long walks and fantastic lookouts. Our personal favourite was the Antarctic Beach forest at Bar Mountain. Also the walk...More

There is a lot to see at a lot of interesting locations. Good camping areas, and some good bushwalks, both short and longer. Some interesting history, and a relaxing place, with some great lookouts. If is a must visit if in the area.

This was our latest weekend adventure and I already can't wait to go back! Lots of clean, spacious picnic areas, easy to get to lookouts, and trails for those with wandering feet. I highly recommend this National Park.

I am not that keen on hiking or walks over 30 mins - 2hrs max return unless I am promised an awesome something. I am pretty fit and can do most walks in less than the time suggested more because I get bored looking at...More

While it takes a bit of getting to, once there the views and park environment are well worth the trip. The gravel road is very well maintained, but is narrow in places. There are spectacular views from the various lookouts however one issue we found...More

Great for walking through beautiful pristine rainforest and the occasional waterfall. The lookout at Blackbutt is well worth a stop and photo opportunity. If you are going to do any walks would recommend to wear long pants or gaitors as the leeches can be annoying....More
