Today we did the full day, interactive tour of the National Zoo (walk on the wildside). It was incredible! Our guide was Emma, she was knowledgeable, friendly and genuinely passionate about her job. As part of the tour we got to go behind the scenes...More

We really liked the path to follow so you can see everything and the set up looks good but it was just OK. One of my kids kept telling me she was bored and I had to agree. If you were able to have the...More

Hi tjw3, Thanks for your feedback. Like in all zoos, occasionally some animals will be difficult to spot. To give them the space they need, this will happen. However, we have quite a few species in more than one enclosure, so if you can’t see...More

A pleasing setting, apparently comfortable for the animals. Informative signage, particularly about level of endangerment. Aquarium was interesting but it was harder to learn about species due to changing screens. Nice gift shop.

We spent well over three hours in this great attraction. There are animals from all over. The enclosures are clean and neat. The map is easy to follow, and very necessary.

We had the choice of driving to Sydney to Taronga Zoo or to Canberra to the National Zoo. We chose this one because at 3 and 5 the kids didn't need a big zoo, crowds and lengthy walking. We were not disappointed - this zoo...More

I visited the Zoo and Aquarium for four hours on a Saturday, which was enough time to see all of the animal enclosures, as well as have something for lunch. While the Zoo guide recommends following the Adventure Trail in sequence, returning to some enclosures...More

What an expensive disappointment. There were more animals on the signage than there were on display. The infrastructure was there but the place was like a maze and the terrain difficult for our elderly parents. They could have hired a mobility scooter for another $64...More

Jacki P, we are not sure if you were at our zoo or somewhere else, as we are very confused with your statements. Probably the best example is your claim that we charge $64 for a scooter, when in fact our nominal fee of $5/hour...More
