We went there for a family picnic. The BBQ facilities are clean & plentiful & tables & chairs nearby. Huge trees for shade in summer. Being autumn (fall) the leaves are falling & our grandchildren loved playing in them. The bathroom facilities are very clean & well maintained. There's a beautiful creek & the children paddling in a small area.... More

I've coupled this report in with our visit to Bundanoon Park simply because I cannot get the Trip Advisor programme to recognise Bundanoon. This is a designated wildlife park that covers a vast area. It's only about 30/40 minutes drive from Canberra, so is easily reachable for visitors wishing to enjoy the countryside. That said, the countryside is only a... More

Our large extended family had a Christmas eve party and barbecue here last year. There were only several other family groups visiting, and we had easy access to gas barbecues, dappled shade, and car parking right nearby. We walked up to the dam after lunch, viewed the displays then walked along the banks of the creek. A main feature of... More

A beautiful spot only 30 mins from the city. Great BBQ facilities and lots of flora and fauna as well as the dam to view.

Well maintained park. Had a refreshing swim in the river on a very hot day and was entertained by the birdlife. Lovely place for a picnic.

This is a lovely are for a picnic. It has facilities, some shelter and grassed areas. Nice place for an outing and there is a nice walk to view the new dam wall. Unfortunately the reserve is not pet friendly.

Possibly Australia's best natural campground. Our second visit here. Beautiful peaceful river setting. Rangers call every morning. We stayed in peak season and although the campground was very busy, it was surprisingly quiet with virtually no noise after 10pm Hot 3.5 min showers & flushing toilets - cleaned daily. BBQ facilities, picnic tables and heaps to do in the nearby... More

This is a family favourite place to visit throughout the year. There are playgrounds, fishing spots, BBQ areas, swimming places and large grassed areas for relaxing. There are marked parking areas and the road is tarred all the way. You only have to walk 50 metres to the water from you car and there are plenty of shady trees to... More

Really nice place, out of the city. Facilities were really good, the setting is beautiful, so recommend this to anyone wanting to get out and about for a picnic, a walk, swim or just relax.
