We were visiting Canberra not many camping options in town. Cotter was perfect, just out of town has all the facilities you need including hot water. Lots of wildlife, gorgeous location to wake up to of a morning.

Such a fabulous place to enjoy walks & swim in the cool, clear river. Very interesting and informative with detailed pictures & stories about the building of the old & new dam. Something for everyone! A family favourite and wonderful place to take visitors.

The area is great for picnics. We loved the shady spots and picnic tables that were available. Lots of parking and facilities available.

Ample parking, great facilities and an abundance of open space (with plenty of shade) means Cotter remains a Canberra favourite. The new Cotter Dam is a sight to behold but for the kids it's a tight competition between the clear, flowing river and the fantastic...More
