A magical place where human endeavour for thousands of years is on display. A wealth of knowledge is available and the traveller who avails themselves of this information will be rewarded when they visit. Mt Franklin is reached by driving west from Canberra towards Cotter then taking the road to Brindabella, then turning left at Piccadilly Circus on the top of the range. Canberra's eary-access snow field. Every time it snows here, the locals drive up to Mt Franklin to play in the snow. It is also easily accessible during the summer where you can go on bushwalks and see the alpine flora and fauna.

Mt Franklin is the site of a chalet which was built by the Canberra Alpine Club in 1938 and burned in the disastrous bushfires of 2003.
