Visiting from Sydney and bought my bike with me. I rode around the Western and Central loop today. Great vista and lovely to be out and about in Canberra’s natural environment. Also got to ride past all the iconic buildings. Highly recommended

The lake is always lovely. Very scenic all year round. The colours of the gardens and trees in autumn are especially beautiful. A lovely walk for exercise or a stroll with friends. Visit one of the many coffee shops along the way..

Absolutely gorgeous area of Canberra. Kids had a blast on their scooters, terrain nice and flat with great pathways along the lake. Stunning views on both sides of the lake. If you have the stamina you can scoot/bike/skate/walk/jog in one big loop across both bridges....More

Whether it is a quiet walk, a picnic or exercise that you want then the lake is the place to be. A bonus is the very fine restaurants on the shore and the excellent views.

Lovely area to walk around with wide paths and ramps to get up to the bridges. Can hire family bikes to ride around for little ones.
