We visited mainly to see the 'Between the Lines' exhibition of political cartoons (not to be missed if you are visiting while it is still on - some real 'laugh-out-loud' examples of the best of Australian political cartooning - with the emphasis on the recent...More

Given its rather stolid name, this is a surprisingly interesting museum - surprising because one might think it was just a way to make use of Old Parliament House. It's worth wandering the old halls and chambers of Parliament, or taking a tour if you...More

Great to see some of Australia's political history up close. Worth visiting the Political Cartoon exhibition that runs every year if you can. The museum also outlines some of the early history of Canberra as well. It's a grand old building.

The most under- valued, what I would call a, museum in Australia. The history of our democratic system unfolds before your eyes. Every visitor to Canberra needs to visit the M of AD.

Highly recommend the best political cartoons exhibition of 2016 that opened today. It's in the basement.
