As a new dog owner I have been visiting BHP on a regular basis. The car park is a fair size (but quickly fills up on hot and sunny days) and has a few spaces for disabled parking. The park is essentially 3 areas -...More

Spent a good hour or two walking around the park which we started by walking up a very steep hill which proved to us how unfit we are! Once you have walked away from the car park which is free, you can feel like you...More

This is a huge park, consisting mainly of a massive grassed area, which may be hosting football or cricket matches depending upon season - but don't worry, it is big enough for this not to stop you doing what you might want to do. Although...More

It's nice to come here and have a walk around. Plenty of space to stretch your legs. Nice big grassy park to walk your dog, and bring the kids. Have a walk in the woods and see/hear the wild birds. Pick Blackberries in the summertime...More

Great place for a walk, either through the woods, or just round the main footpath itself. Car parking adequate but can be busy at weekends and school holidays. What the park really needs are toilets, as there are none, and a cafe.

Plenty of free parking and beautiful surroundings. I used to go several times a week with my dogs but got fed up with the amount of dog mess left behind from inconsiderate owners. Its a shame.

As an addendum to my previous answer I have heard there are plans for a community cafe and toilets in the future but I'm afraid these might not be for a while. Hope you enjoy if you do get chance for a visit to the park.
