At this time of year do not expect a lush flow We walked along the ditch. The flow was minor. We started from above and it may have been a mistake. The flow may have been stronger in the early spring.

This gorge is a great activity to do on a day when to sun is not at its hottest. It took us a good 3 hours to walk down from the road to the long drop waterfall where I had a swim in the pool....More

Took one of the excellent local( air-conditioned, smooth-running Mercedes-Benz) buses from Agios Nikolaos towards Sitia.( €26 return for 2). Spectacular mountainside and sea view journey. Short walk continuing on the main road till you reach the car park; very pleasant walk down a single- track...More

Beautiful walk, few rocks to jump over but safe and fairly easy. We saw family with kids on the way. I would recommend to go from the morning if you are driving, because it is a fair walk.

Beautiful gorge in Greece, very lush vegetation. Some Palmtrees I've seen there I've never seen elsewhere in Greece. It looks more ke a tropical garden, than in Greece. 2 hrs. Down and 2hrs. Up, so not a hike for the heat of the summer.

Drove down to the beach in a small hire car with automatic gears which was very doable. Need to be a confident driver but we didn't have an issue just forced the car into first gear! Road is concrete pretty much all the way down...More

Muddy April and intense rain are definitely not the best time and condition to hike the Gorge. But still it was a lot of fun and some adrenalin. Started from the very beginning and walked down to the bridge. Picked right from trees some oranges...More

My husband and I are not in shape and really enjoyed taking our time on this hike. We made it up to the wooden stairs that come up shortly after the big waterfall and then made our 2 hour trek back to the car. Something...More

Quite a challenge for people who don't usually do this kind of thing. Not really suitable for the elderly or young children. Bit of climbing and scrambling over boulders required. Many trip and twist hazards along the way. That said, it's a nice change from the...More
