We spent 3 days here and I could have spent a lot more time, at least a week. We only saw about one third of the island and it was spectacular. Nusa Penida reminds us of Lombok with its winding narrow coastal roads and thick vegetation. It is only a short 40 minute fast boat ride from Sanur. The highlight... More

We loved this island, flaws and all. Yes there is a lot of rubbish in some places. Yes some of the street dogs have probably seen happier and healthier days, many broken footpaths and rough roads. But if you wish to get a taste of the local culture with minimal tourist traps this is the place for it. If you... More

I first visited this island 5 years ago and what a sea change it was.. to be able to get away from the hustle and bustle of Bali ( Kuta , Legian) back then accommodation was difficult and only a couple of restaurant.. now you have many to choose from .. this Island has some of the best diving and... We went to Nusa Penida for a day with Ketut from Sea Bird Nusa Lembongan at Jungutbatu beach on Nusa Lembongan. What a wonderful day, one I will never forget. Set off from Ketut's shop at 9am. Walked 5 minutes to the beach where we set off by boat, it took around 30 minutes to get to Toyopakeh, where Ketut... More

This place is about 1 hour by ferry from Padang Bai. It is not crowded like in Nusa Dua or Kuta. Upon arrival rent a bike and enjoy the natural beauty of sands and rocks. if you like it is also nice to do snoorkeling.

Rough and rustic, yet beautiful and exotic. Nusa Penida is hard to travel and worth it. Beautiful snorkeling and untouched beaches. Definitely check this place out!

Nusa Penida is the island in Bali you must visit, it is a place of extremes don't expect to come here to sunbath and drink cocktails by the pool. Hire a bike and maybe a guide to visit these extreme beauty spots this island has to offer, breathtaking scenery, rock roads and the most beautiful beaches that are virtually impossible... More

until now it was one of those places that just overwhelmed us with its beauty, the pure nature. This island has some places which are made for Gods! :) Loved it

To go to Nusa Penida, the easiest way is go to Sanur. the speed boat will start from 7:30AM. alot of choices. in Nusa Penida you can rent a motorbike or a car. No Public transport available in this island.

Went for the day from nusa lombognon , lush rainforest feel to island, the roads are very treacherous in places so be warned, even if an expericend biker, there are many pot holes and too steep inclines , nice to not be surrounded by tourists!!! Would recommend but DO NOT underestimate the size and distances between villages
