This was the best $9 of the weekend. Brilliant walk and loads of koalas just hanging out doing their thing. Lovely people. Great little stop off. Had outdoor picnic and they were happy for us to eat our own food. Even sampled their coffee which was fab. Absolutely recommend.

We went to see koalas in the wild and we saw lots of them! Since it is a sanctuary they come and go as they please, it's observation not interaction. We also saw kangaroos and wallabies while there. It wasn't too expensive to get in so we felt it was well worth it. We went to Flinders Chase National Park... More

Lovely avenue of eucalypts that the koalas love means that you have lots of opportunities to see them - they are very close and it was great to see them.

We met at the cafe in Hansen bay at 5:30 PM, and the tour lasted 1.5 hours. We saw a couple of koalas, a possum, many wallabies, three kangaroos and an echidna. The guide was very knowledgable and friendly. We walked about 1.5 km. If you travel farther than 10 kilometers with your own car, you have to be very... More

We really enjoyed the informative discussion of the guide at Hanson Bay, but we didn't see much wildlife except for a few koalas high up in the trees (maybe because it was raining). We loved staying in their cabins!

Thank you for visiting and hat's off to you for continuing in the rain! Normally the wildlife isn't bothered by this but unfortunately sometimes it makes it difficult to find them. I'm glad your tour guide was able to share so much with you. Kelly More

We called in here on a whim as had been told this was the best place to see Koalas. Lost count of how many we saw ( with the help of the friendly dog who met us at the entrance and became a pointer staring at every Koala). Was a surprisingly good experience.

Most of the koalas were hibernating when we visited this Hanson Bay Wildlife Sanctuary. However we saw a few kangaroos running around and they were so cute. I've been to different wildlife park but this is the first time I experience the real wildlife park, all animals are given freedom for their own activities and you can't force them to... More

This was a fun walk in the woods at night with a guide who showed us koalas in the wild, along with various other creatures. We saw an echidna and kangaroo on our way into the property! Enjoyable nocturnal experience

We came here at about 10 in the morning and there were plenty of koalas who were doing there thing which is sitting in trees. There were flags at the base of 5 trees to make sure that everyone gets to see some koalas but we saw those 5 and another 7 in the time that we were there. Well... More

Came here as part of an organised tour with SOL. We saw lots of koalas - more than I've ever seen on the mainland.
