Verzasca is a nice place to visit and walk around and you can spend some time walking on the rocks. It's worth the trip if your in or around Lugano. There is also a great restaurant across the street that had sandwiches and hot dogs for cheap (CHF6 at time of writing) and is not far from the bus stop... More

We have 2 children ages 6 and 8. We parked at Lavertezzo, Paese and took a bus to Sonogno. We then hiked from there down to Alnasca bus stop and took the bus trip back. This was about 10km, but there were many pleasant stops and places to refresh yourselves with the beautiful fresh water. There was a little place... More

Valle Verzasca is one of the most beautiful place in Switzerland! The wtaer is totally transparent and rocks are beautiful. Go there when it is sunny and take your swiming suit with you (no chaging rooms available!). You can easily climb on a rock 5-6m high and jump down. Though, the water is cold!

Come here with your teenagers! The view, the rocks and the bolders and the crystal clear water make this place a must see while being in the area. We were an international group of 18 in total and we all had a superb time.

Amazing, its water is so clean and blue. Those rocks'shape is unique. We enjoyed to see how young people were jumping into water, canoing, diving or just sitting around. Be careful to jump since many stones down there. The water is cold, prepare towel, extra cloths and shocks. The bridge is so beautiful. Looking at those old houses and the... More

Due to the different altitudes, all climate zones are combined in the Valle Verzasca. Tenero-contra and Gordola include the insubric climate region thanks to the deep sea level, close to the Lago Maggiore and protected by the mountains from the north winds.
