I recommend Palamari's Cultural Center and its surroundings for a gateaway place from the city. There you can find a peaceful place, friendly people, great traditional food and pretty much perfect landscapes to capture in photos.

We enjoyed very much the scenery, wooden houses and church, the egg painting and quilling workshop and finally the light meal served that included traditional Romaninan food. Heartly recomended for adults (me and my wife really enjoyed the workshops) and children as well.
