Road is very slow going but you can definitely make it in a car. We stopped at the first opportunity so had to walk over lava rock to get to the beach. Really beautiful here...mainly because it's so isolated. Don't think I would swim here...More

This is one of my favorite beaches. Hard to get to but worth the drive. I have only ever seen one other person on the beach when I have been there and he was a local fisherman.

The road to Captain's Bay was a little treacherous and you definitely need 4-wheel drive for certain stretches, but the journey is well worth it. We had this beautiful beach to ourselves for the day. The crashing waves and strong tide make it dangerous to...More

Most secluded beach on the island. Packed a lunch, brought a bottle of Champagne and a beach umbrella and had the entire place to ourselves all day.
