It is at least 25 years since I visited this attraction. Apart from lawns and the orchard the gardens seem to be unplanned. Sections were developed and to a large extent, aprat from the hard landscaping, the resulting flora in the different areas is as...More

The gardens have restricted opening days so check first. The garden leads from one garden area to another, each distinct and interesting in their own way. There aren't labels & signposts so enjoy the beauty of the plants & the winding paths through the garden.

The garden has a number of surprises. It is full of plants pressed together often in a charming way. It is not over manicured. There was no one else there when we visited. The occupants of the house prefer visitors to park in the road...More

We are ardent visitors of gardens in and around London - there are plenty. However, our very special favourite gardens / rooms are Docwra's Manor Gardens. Each room has very special delights - wild flowers, beautiful roses, irises, alliums galore - in fact every species...More

We made a visit to this garden on Good Friday. It was a stunning country type of garden. Not a formal, but lots of spring bulbs and flowering shrubs.Lots of hidden corners and garden rooms made our visit more exciting.Should be delightful in Summer too.

Amazing place to visit anytime of the year, obviously tended to by someone who really cares, Spring and summer are stunning but Autumn and winter are equally appealing
