We had been to Whiteman Park years ago but with relatives in Perth and children of varying ages we decided to head to Caversham Wildlife Park. What a treat! All the staff are well informed, polite and enthusiastic about all the native animals and there really is something for everyone. Don't miss the Farm Show at 1 pm which is... More

Among the animals we met here were the sleeping wombat, yellow possum, sleeping quokkas, cute koalas, swimming penguins, some owls and kookaburras, bobtails, a group of sheeps, and of course, the roos and wallabies. Not forgetting the funny sounds from those ravens. There was scheduled Farm Shows that demonstrates sheep mustering and shearing, lamb feeding and whip cracking. Don't miss... More

The best part of the park was feeding the kangaroos and wallabies (make sure to come early when the kangaroos are still hungry). The animal show is also something not to be missed. Don't forget to take pictures with the resident wombat and koalas

Our daughter is in a wheelchair and sometimes struggle to navigate around parks back in the uk. But we had no trouble at all at Caversham , we managed to get round all the enclosures and the staff were fantastic. The hard standing path through the kangaroo enclosure made it perfect to see all the kangaroos close up. The food... More

It was our first time to Australia and the locals recommended Caversham to meet Australian animals. Entry fee was A$28. There were a farm show, meet the wombat session, meet the koala. Tourists could also walk into the kangaroo habitat and feed them up close. Had an entertaining afternoon. Park was well kept.

This was my first time here and I was so excited to see the kangaroos!! I got to see much much more. It was an awesome experience. From the minute I walked in with my family, I was amazed. There was a trail to follow and we started with the Eclectus Parrot. This parrot was so funny. The animals were... More

Arriving on a cruise ship, our group was well looked after. Our guide 'Cory' made sure that everyone in the group had the opportunity to see and touch everything - Kangaroo's ,wombats, possums, parrots, snakes - then to a farm show that was brilliant and very well presented - and I thought there was nothing more about farm animals I... Maybe thats not the expected expression when faced with a Wombat, I cant say they are particularly beautiful or even cute they are however endearing in a way. One thing you can say about Australian wildlife is that if nature isn't in the process of stinging you, biting you or injecting you with venom then its thinking of a way... More
