For lovers of architecture and art visiting the Villa Emo World Heritage Site is a must. It's so well preserved that the frescoes from 1500 look as life-like as when they were painted.

This is undoubtedly a fine example of Palladio's work but for me it was rather too austere compared to some of the other villas you can visit in the region. The frescos which are mainly classical scenes and rather predictable, dominate the rooms. Compare with...More

Lovely villa with impressive frescos. A little offside the main road in the country side but easy to find with huge parking which is also suitable for mobile homes.

Well worth the few euros to enter, Wonderful frescoes in all of the rooms - very inspiring. The had laminated handouts for each room in 6 or 7 languages. Well thought through.

I neglected to say Saturday Only. The villa is open Sat. only May - Sept. from 3:30-6:00.
