My scheme was to visit the Robbin Islands, just to be told it was fully booked since Friday to Monday. So, our taxi, "tour guide", linked to us by the SUN1 staff, discussed with us a potentially plausible scheme, through the Penguin coastline. When we reached we couldn't see these many small birds as seen in moves - kind of... More

To see the way that oil covered sea birds are cleaned and rehabilated was wonderful. The penguin hatchery was fantastic to see. The permanent residents are well treated and well fed. They swim around and the penguins waddle around making quite a lot of noise. Volunteers from all over the world support this wonderful centre.

This place does an amazing job it's a little awkward to find but once you arrive you will not be disappointed . A member of staff took us around and told us all about what they do From the moment the birds arrive to the moment they are released.the staff are so dedicated and are doing an awesome job .... These African penguins are so amusing to watch. They are very cute as they swim, fight and just sit there. You would think it would be boring but there a tons of them and they're fun to look at. We saw some of the babies and they're super cute and furry. I think if you come to Cape Town, it's... More

Had a tour and the guide was knowledgable and friendly - the volunteers and workers are doing a fab job and without them who knows where the birds would be! Keep up the good work I hope to come and volunteer at some point soon

I don't think anyone realizes how hard these people work to keep this place running and all the Penguins happy and healthy. I volunteered there and it was an amazing experience but it was tough....! it is defiantly worth a visit and support. Well-done guys and keep going

SANCCOB does an excellent job of rehabilitating and researching African Penguins and seabirds. The tours are extensive and very informative. The penguins are adorable and sometimes you have the opportunity to pet one of the more friendly penguins. If you are a penguin lover, animal lover, or simply care about wildlife conservation, a trip to SANCCOB is a must and... More
