Jakrem Hot Springs is about two to two-and-a-half hours from Shillong, on the way to Mawsynram. Frankly speaking, it's not really any special place. There are a few small hot water springs. Nice place to go. But the road is not good, neither enough road signs are there to find the place very easily. not at all maintained place, although it looks so. Difficult to eat here because of street dogs. For hot shower bath, there are bath rooms without doors for men and a women's bath room is in place. not... More

We were fooled by our tour agent to believe these were large real hot springs where you can swim and float along like the ones in Iceland. We should have done more research before commencing our day trip. In reality there is a concrete hut comprising of a few bathroom like cubes where you are supposed to bathe. Inside these... More

The name can be misleading. You will definitely get naturally heated water. But this is not something like Yellowstone national park. There is also a river running so the view is not that bad.
