it is a good place to visit if you are interested in history and architecture. It has been restored and the original.dates back to 12th century. For Muslims it is interesting to note SURA YASEEN FROM QURAN is written on the walls of this monument.

Nakhichevan is accessbile from Baku only via plane but beauty of the region and especially its history are well worth it. Monument of Momine Hatun is symbol of Nakhichevan and probably one of the prettiest monuments in Azerbaijan. Beautiful architecture, delicate stone gravings. Surrounded by lovely park and archealogical museum under open sky (similar to the one near Maiden Tower in Baku). Park is located on the hill, so you will get a lovely view on Nackichevan and Khan Palace is also very near so you can make some really great pictures there. And atmosphere is speacial. You can really feel history of this place and yet it is so visually beautiful at the same time. Loved it. Would like to visit it again in future.

It is obvious tomb architect belonged to Persian and one can see the same type of tomb in , Tajikistan , Afghanistan, Turkmenistan , Uzbekistan and Iran. I could not find out who this lady (Momine Khatun) was and what she had done that they made her tomb right in the main road.

An interesting monument/mausoleum. There are plenty of these around in this region. This one was average. The mosaics are interesting.
Easy to find as it is in the middle of Nakhchivan city. In fact you can spot it from the upper floors of Hotel Tabriz.
Worth a quick visit.

It’s hard to miss the Momine Khatun Mausoleum in Nakhchivan as it is lovely with its 800 year old medieval architecture, beautiful mosaics, turquoise tiles and way it seems to hum in the sunlight. Check it out.

Interesting enough . Pleasant location in well landscaped park. But in fairness apart from a 5 minute exploration of the history, not much else to excite .

During Nowruz there is a festival including food, handy crafts, music and socializing. There is a palace very nearby and if you walk a bit further there is a beautiful mosque.
The building itself has a beautiful architecture and every side of it has a unique pattern.
