- L18SUMStirling, United Kingdom2,057 contributionsWhat funOur family of two adults, an 8 year old and a 6 year old visited Disney World for two weeks holiday in October. We went on this ride twice and it was great fun. The pre-show is superb and how you enter (and exit) the ride - great attention to detail. Enjoy!Visited October 2023Travelled with familyWritten 13 November 2023
- Mike from Rival TownNiagara Falls, Canada926 contributionsPerfect combo of screens and animatronics! Excellent trackless ride! The effects on the attraction are next level, even right off the bat with the pre show. So much to look at on this ride, it’s a perfect combination of screens and animatronics. A must-do with family/friends! Also, if your vehicle stalls and doesn’t start right away in the dance room with Daisy, don’t worry, it’s not broken down, sometimes it just needs a sec to catch up.Visited January 2023Travelled with familyWritten 18 December 2023
- Eileen19127 contributionsFun SurpriseThis ride was so much fun. It's family friendly, but it has lots of surprises throughout that are really entertaining for all ages, including adults. This is another trackless ride, like Rise of the Resistance, so the car can make more nuanced movements that are really fun. I highly recommend trying this out. I went at the end of the day when lines were shorter.Visited May 2024Travelled soloWritten 9 June 2024
- nightowl1812Monmouth, United Kingdom16 contributionsPretty cool artNot a very thrilling ride , but quite bonkers. Teenagers and thrill seekers won’t really enjoy this ride , but young children will enjoy it . Very pretty , and usually short queue times Very clever how it changed scenes If you have children I suggest this rideVisited August 2024Travelled with familyWritten 14 September 2024

Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railroad is a lot of fun. It’s full of vibrant colors and scenes that leave you awestruck. There is so much going on that at times it can almost be hard to follow. Overall, this ride was worth the wait and a nice break from some of the higher thrill attractions in the park.

Although I would have also preferred they have kept the Great American Movie Ride, this new one doesn't disappoint. It uses the new trackless vehicles like Ride of the Resistance, so the ride is very smooth. You feel transported to an old style Mickey cartoon, and Disney does a great job making it feel immersive. We rode for the first time during the pandemic, and walked on a few times...wait times were never above 20 minutes while we were there...which I hear is far below what it was when it opened prepandemic.

This ride replaced the Great Movie Ride. What a shame. That was a real nostalgic ride with excellent scenes. It was thematic to Hollywood Studios. The new ride is silly beyond belief. It has nothing at all to do with Hollywood other than having animation of Mickey. It is a sop to children. It certainly isn't worth the incredibly long wait to get on this very slow loading ride. And with Covid they are only loading 1/3 of the passengers, which makes this wait unbearable. Skip it.

First time ride since it was The Great Movie Ride when last at Hollywood Studios before the pandemic. Don’t agree with Lightning Lanes…at the moment….so decided to Q for the 90 mins(actual 50).
Wasn’t really expecting much but we were pleasantly surprised.
There was a small pre show with the screen exploding into a sort of opening which still amazes how it was done. Anyway the ride consisted of spinning cars and different video screens interacting with us.
On the whole it was very enjoyable ride, would I ride again, mmm maybe if Q wasn’t so long as don’t think it’s worth the $15 cost, possibly would be if associated with other rides

Fun new ride we went on for the first time and it was really nicely done, I'm not a big fan of the new style of art they are using where the seem to talk out of the sides of their mouth, but that's just me. I loved Daisy Duck's dance lesson, it was really unique. The whole ride was fun, not thrilling or anything, but different.

This is a fun ride located in the Chinese theater close to the park’s entrance. After the queue, you’ll start with a quick classic Mickey Mouse cartoon depicting the premise of the runaway train. After the film, you’ll be led to another queue to board your train. There is some moderate motion with the ride, but it’s all lateral (spinning and side to side) rather than up and down motion. Overall, this was a fun ride.
The line for the ride was quite long. The queue starts outside before heading inside into the Chinese theater. While outside, the line is shaded with umbrellas and there are fans when it’s warm.

I wasn't sure what to expect, but from the introductory portion of the ride, you'll be "blown away" to enter the ride. Once on the train, you'll be transported through a variety of scenes tracking Mickey and Minnie with 360-degree animation of sites and sounds. I think it's too much to see on one ride and you can ride multiple times and still not pick up on all that's going on. Smooth and comfortable, everyone can enjoy from young to old. Well worth the wait in line.

We liked the "Great Movie Ride", so were expecting a let down with this one. However, to our surprise, we really enjoyed Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway". Very well done, hats off to Disney for this one.
This is not a thrill ride, but it is one the whole family can enjoy.
