My favorite color is purple; naturally this beach was on my bucket-list. While it was tricky to find and there was a small entry fee (sorry don't remember what it was), it was absolutely worth it for me to see purple sand. Being a Florida boy I've never seen anything like it. From the purple sand to the smooth stones, the rock formations the waves are crashing through the caves in the rocks. Must see!

Nice road tr but a bit long and quite foggy, sometimes the road is a bit scary to be honest, but the view is impressive

I liked this beach but the reason for not giving it a higher score is that I tend to go for more pretty beaches I loved Andrew Molera beach, and found this to have a more rugged and wild feel,but still very interesting to see and loved the rock formations and purple sand. This was a beautiful beach. Wish we had spent the whole day there. We went to see the sunset. Fortunately we walked down, because there were a lot of other people with the same idea and a huge line to get in and no parking. Go early.

Oh this place was pretty on the Pacific Coast, and the sunset are the best! You can visit the Park nearby as well with trails too.

There is nothing quite like the Big Sur south of Carmel, CA. My wife is a huge Elizabeth Taylor fan and that made a stop at Pfeiffer Beach a must.
