Beautiful little falls going onto the beach and then into the ocean. Short hike to get to the overlook where you can see it.

As if the drive there isn't beautiful enough when you get to Mcway Falls ... Wow just Wow. This part of the California coast and BigSur are a great place to take families. The park doesn't allow dogs ... even waiting in your car. That's...More

Not so much of a hike but the views are awesome. The waterfall is really tiny but the clear blue waters are really gorgeous. It's short enough to do quickly. Reminded me of Hawaii.

The waterfall is not very big. For some strange reason, there was like a rotten egg smell when I visited. Maybe a bit overrated, but it's a nice walk out to get a view of the ocean. The water looks good. I think there are...More

A ride along the coast is not complete without a stop at McWay Falls. Friends who saw our pictures thought they were photos of Hawaii.

You could hike around the area but McWay Falls is best enjoyed from the cliffs at a distance. The unique waterfall is photogenic and lends itself well to timelapse or hyperlapse.

Of all the vantage points along Hwy 1 in Big Sur, this was our favorite. It's free and easy to get to but the parking is rather rough, only available along the shoulder of the road. You can't get down to the beach but it's...More

Apparently not. That's what the park website says (tripadvisor does not permit links so you'll have to google it yourself).
