Awesome, beautiful short hike, worth the drive. We did a two day exploration of Big Sur and McWay was one of the best highlights.

I could have stopped every 5 minutes along the scenic hour coastal drive from Monterey to McWay Falls. The trip alone to get there is gorgeous! It is a well known spot and for a good reason - it has a beach, waterfall, and classic...More

If you're doing the scenic drive along the PCH, you will want to stop every 500 feet for the views! This one is well worth it, with some roadside parking available. You could also take part of a day to explore the park itself. Expect...More

I guess my expectations were too high after reading so much about this place. Niagara Falls isn't too far from where I live so to me when you say "falls" I expect a significant amount of water falling from a height. This was more like...More

One of only two waterfalls that falls directly into the ocean. It is beautiful. A short EASY hike accessible to all. It was fun to find some posted information about the owners of the property before it was donated to the state. Worth the trip,,,a

Great hiking paths and gorgeous views! One of multiple hiking/sightseeing areas all in one place. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes because you’ll want to keep walking to take in as many of the gorgeous sites as possible!

When you enter the trail, turn right to go to view the falls or turn left for picnic area. Both ways are an easy hike with lovely views. Enjoyed reading the information/story boards at the end of the hike to the falls.

Super short hike, like .6 miles or around that. The hike is on a flat path. The falls are gorgeous and run into a beach front. Gorgeous view and definitely worth visiting during your trip to Big Sur!

This is the main waterfall attraction of the Julia Pfeiffer Burns State Park and for good reason. The actual park has other great things to see and as a whole is wonderful. There are countless photos of this waterfall pouring onto the sand and into...More

Apparently not. That's what the park website says (tripadvisor does not permit links so you'll have to google it yourself).
