This was my first experience with the Esalen Institute and I am not impressed. I booked a 5-day workshop with a front desk staff member weeks ago and requested a standard single room. Later, I found out rooms are on a “first-time, first-come” basis and...More

We were very happy to go. The Esalen Institute made us feel very welcome and comfortable. It is definitely unique to bathe in hot springs looking out over the ocean. It is clothing optional so some may not enjoy it.
