A unique and exciting way to get in touch of the true nature of the Mayan Riviera is on the back of a horse combined with a Cenote swim. We have healthy, well trained horses appropriate for first timers, novice and intermediate riders. Our tours are semi-private consisting of groups up to 12 riders, ensuring that everyone receives personal attention from our friendly, knowledgeable guides. We are located in a very convenient location between Cancun and Playa del Carmen. During the trail ride be ready to spot various species of birds, iguanas, butterflies and eventually spider monkeys and coatis; our guides will give you an interesting and entertaining commentary along the trails while you pass by a local plantation and follow the path that will lead you to visit a deep natural pit or sinkhole -characteristic of Mexico- resulting from the collapse of limestone bedrock that exposes groundwater underneath. We will then remount and head back to the ranch, where at the end of the ride you will be given an opportunity to take a refreshing swim in our open air Cenote and enjoy some cool refreshments.Private tours can be offered for advanced riders upon request. Please do not forget to bring bug spray, sunscreen, closed toe shoes , bathing suit & towel and be ready to enjoy a different way to spend your day. WIFI es available on site.

These individuals are beautiful people. They not only offer a wonderful experience to the jungle on horseback but also give you a great education on the local environment. But they also rescue distressed horses and other animals. We loved our trip here.

I wanted to get my husband on a horse and couldn't have had a better first ride. Note this is a walking only ride - no galloping through the jungle - (although they might offer faster rides for advanced groups?) but it was so hot...More

This excursion was perfect for us since we didn't want to spend all day away. The location was super close to the El Dorado Casitas Royale, where we were staying. I hadn't been horseback riding since I was a child, so it's safe it say...More

I have ZERO experience riding a horse but was well informed once I got to the ranch. Had an amazing time and the staffs were amazing. We didn't do anything fancy (i.e. riding on water) but rather a trail deeper into the jungle where we...More

My husband and I booked this experience through lomas travel while staying at the El Dorado Castias Royal. It is on the same property as our hotel so not having to take a bus or shuttle very far was appealing. The guides met us at...More

Hi Paul, We are going back to Playacar in April, and we have done just about everything but horseback riding. Were you staying in Cancun or Riviera Maya? Did it take long to get to your destination from your hotel?
