A local Lichfield) place to take the children to experience what steam was used for in the old days. Gets children excited and they do learn something about what travel used to be like.

We did a lap on both Christmas day and on boxing day of 2018. Never disappointed. 2 lovely walks out. The perimeter is about 3-4 miles. It was a great way of stretching the legs.

Flat open great views. Took picnic. Found some seats with great views across reservoir. Water level very low at present exposing some very sandy beach like areas. Bought coffee at Innovation Centre as we passed by.

On a lovely sunny autumn day we had a walk around the lake. Water level not as high as I previously knew which encouraged us to walk along the northern shoreline. Part of the boardwalk was broken and we were advised to find an alternative...More

How better to get to Chasewater than on an old fashioned steam train. You get your tickets in a ticket office just like it was years ago in a rural station. You can see all the wildlife too on your journey. It brought back memories...More

Took grandson and family for his 3rd birthday treat and everyone had a wonderful time. We'll worth a visit.. The museum is beautifully kept.

This is a very scenic spot with several water-sport activities going on. However, cycling and dig-walking seemed to be the main reason most people visit. Not that there is anything wrong with that. The path around the water is free from traffic which is always...More

No you don't pay to go in. They may charge a fee if they have an event on but normally you don't pay. Enjoy!
