As we are moving to the Mid-North Coast we wanted to check out the area from Grassy Head through to the Pacific Hwy. The 4WD and the off-road GPS handled the roads no problem. The lookout views to the South, really worth the drive.

Getting to this drive up Yarrahappinni Mountain can be done a few ways. A good one is off the Scotts Head road, about half way. Turn off to enjoy some off road type driving over babbling brooks, sub tropical rainforest and a picnic area that...More

Be prepared and take the right road up from the Highway, worth it but a very narrow road. I took my i30 and it managed it well. no need for a 4 wheel drive. The view from the lookout was great. Worth taking a picnic...More

We have a 4 wheel drive and traversed the road up the mountain easily. It is achievable with a regular car, but not for the faint-hearted. What a wonderful eco-system. Not to be missed!

The views are spectacular. My husband enjoyed the whole area as he loves to be off road and get away from out it all. A wonderful place to seed the larger picture the weather was excellent.

The Yarrahapinni Lookout is somewhat marred by all the mobile phone towers and repeater stations installed on the summit. Of course that's because it's the highest point around and as such offers some decent panoramic views. If you're just out for a leisurely exploratory drive...More

This is great drive through thr rain forest, across tricking streams. There is a rest area on the way with toilets, BBQ a big goanna and seating. It was neat and tidy. There is an impressive stand of flooded gums there as well. The straight...More

The view of the surrounding countryside and all the way to the coast is fabulous. It's worth the slow drive up on dirt and gravel to get to the top. The National Park used to be a State Forest. There is a picnic spot along...More
