It's remote temple at Angkor complex with the same style of Angkor Wat and it maybe built during the period of Angkor. It's another exciting tour to explore this temple with the jungles covered the stones and sculptures. The temple has its own unique is...More

I read online that this temple had relatively fewer tourists compared to the other temples. Also, I read that you can climb around the temple ruins. It turns out that neither is the case any more. I found the temple crowded as many other temples...More

Book a tour through a private guide with a car and check this out - you will not be disappointed. It's a bit of a drive from Siem Reap but it offers a different perspective (and less crowds) than Angkor Wat. Don't skimp and take...More

中心地からトゥクトゥクで行きました。60km、2時間くらいです。ラピュタのような景色でアンコールワットとは一味違います。トゥクトゥクで移動する際は砂埃に要注意です。 It took 2 hours from center of Siem Reap. The view of its collaboration with nature was awesome. But be careful of going by tuktuk otherwise fugitive dust attacking you all the time lol.

About 1.5hrs away by car from Siem Reap, the ruins at Beng Mealea offer a very interesting experience as the complex is largely unrestored with heaps of stones lying in piles covered in green moss, and overgrown with foliage. If abandoned places and ruins fascinate...More

Beng Mealea is easily accessible via a good road from Siem Reap and can be easily be combined with Banteay Srei and Roulos as a kind of extra-large loop. You won't be alone, though, as bus tours now visit it, contrary to some guidebooks. As...More

I had read 'History of Indian and Eastern Architecture' by James Fergusson et al and in the chapter covering Cambodia, three places were mentioned as 'must see': Angkor vat, Bayon and Being Mealea. While the first two are within easy reach in Siem Reap, Beng...More

Most parts are still as they have been discovered. Not too many tourists, so a good opportunity to get a feeling what Angkor must have been some years ago.

The whole historic temple area is surrounded by the jungle, which gives the temple a strong mysterious feeling. When I get in the temple area, and then see those temple structure, stones, roof, columns, mostly they are collapsed, some are still standing, but the condition...More

I took a full day tour including : Banteay Srei, Preah Vihear, Koh Ker, and Beng Mealea. I reach this temple when the dusk started to come, and the ray of sunset tried to pass through the thickness of the trees. I feel this temple...More

According to archaeology and history books, Angkor Wat, Bayon and Being Mealea are the most recommended sites to visit. The first two are no doubt closer to Siem Reap, the third is some 70 km away. What I found was that... More
