Stunning spot to access the winterless North of New Zealand. Worth visiting for Oakura alone, but also a great area to base yourself when exploring the Bay of Islands and Northland.

Stayed the night at a rental house on the beach. Have to drive around the beach a couple of hours either side of the tide. Such a nice peaceful beach well worth the effort several rentals available .
