The Customs House at West Bay, Dorset is an Emporium offering unique gifts, collectibles, memorabilia, vintage ware, retro & stylish clothing, handmade items, designer furniture & home furnishings. Over 100 traders located in a magnificent Grade 2 listed buildings & courtyard right on the beach. On site there is large cafe called Custom Maid, offering coffee, teas, ice creams,cakes & hot food & much more, open daily from 10am. Plenty of seating inside & in the courtyard. Regular weekend market held in the courtyard. New traders always welome. We are open, 7 days a week from 10am. Please visit our Facebook page for regular updates & events. A great day out for all the family & treasure hunters, on the beauitiful famous Jurassic Coast.

Dirty, smelly, uninterested staff really sums this venue up! Items on sale so overpriced not sure how they get away with it. Weekend market very poor and uninteresting.

Quite a querky place full of usual tat. Would thoroughly recommend Custom Maid for coffee and cake a quiet little dog friendly cafe with a great friendly welcoming atmosphere.

Usual tat, lots of empty stalls, very untidy/ scruffy. couldn't recommend it to anyone. Central payments to unmanned booth.More

Thank you for your feedback, we currently have over 100 traders in the Customs House & the market stalls are at the weekends mainly but expanding through the season. As for the unmanned pay station, we are fully staffed, apologies the staff were obviously helping...More

A new place for visitors to go. Access limited to mobility. Cafe good and excellent coffee. The actual customs house was full of various bric bracket. Somewhere to visit!

...so it's obviously worth climbing the stairs of this interesting old building. Good quality stalls - not just the stuff you see everywhere. Recommended.

This is a great place for souvenirs and home wares, lots of variety with many local and unique items and well as retro and upcycled items. There are steep steps to the upper floors but the lower floor is accessible. The courtyard includes a cafe...More

There is no lift and only stairs. Be careful with some of the floors as the flagstones can be uneven too. Still a great visit though.
