In the heart of Tuscany, in Radda in Chianti, in the wonderful 18th century convent of Santa Maria al Prato, the Casa Chianti Classico welcomes its guests to its suggestive interiors with several initiatives dedicated to wine and territory culture: the bistrot Al Convento, the exclusive Black Rooster wine shop, a sensorial area dedicated to the wine and the history of Chianti Classico, exhibitions' areas, learning courses on wine, cooking classes by appointment and much more. A terrace overlooking the Chianti hills, the ancient refectory and the inner cloister complete the ancient feeling of the place. Atmosphere and charm lead the Chianti Classico visitor through a world of wine culture, curiosity and amazement but above all through experiences strongly connected to the trademark of Black Rooster and all its facets.

What an absolutely delightful and delicious experience. We were welcomed (bikes, bike kit and all), then treated to the most amazing lunch and exceptional service. Dessert, wines and food were all top notch! Fantastico…grazie mille!

My experience was phenomenal! The lunch and wine pairing was one of the best experiences I’ve had. The food was delightful and the wines were divine. For the longest time, I didn’t think I liked Rosè wine but turns out, I was drinking the wrong ones! If you’re in Italy’s wine country, this place is a must stop.

We had a delicious and lovely meal and a great time talking to the knowledgeable staff in front of a fire in the original kitchen of the convent. One person was vegan and there were delicious choices, one person not and the food was down to earth, fresh and local. The olive oil tasting educational and again delicious.
I would highly recommend but in November they are only open on Saturday night. Do check their schedule. The cloister will be a unique place to eat in the warmer weather.

Casa Chianti Classico is a must-stop for exploring this important wine region. You will get to taste wines from a wide range of producers and learn about the region and terror. They also have a seasonal restaurant with a beautiful deck that overlooks the region.

We dropped into this spot after lunch in Radda. We did a. couple chianti tastings and they wine was varied and good. We ended up purchasing a decent amount and shipping it back to the usa. Fabulous view as well.

Really great experience sampling delicious wine. We took the tour around the wine journey and tried to figure out the wine we were drinking.
After we sat on the veranda overlooking the vineyards and sampled more wonderful wines with gorgeous views!

Casa Chianti Classico is worth a visit even if you do not do one of the tours. The tasting shop is lovely and there is access to see the vineyards.
